Happy Valentine's Day :)

Wow it's crazy how time flies. Hard to believe this was me last year.

I've learned a lot since then, about photography, life, and myself. I still don't have a "significant other," which is fine with me. If I meet someone, then awesome. But I don't expect anything to happen where I would gain one anytime soon.

So... on to the picture with my Chinese Silk Dress. I wore it since I had a skit to do in theater class today. I think it went pretty well. Hopefully I didn't forget any of my lines...

It's a different sort of picture today. I didn't have my tri-pod, but I made it artsy. I only had a few minutes to take this since I needed to go change for the gym. I've been going all day, it's been stressful. My roommate led a Bible study tonight on peace, it was perfect timing. 

*Note; My friend Lawrence is engaged! Yay I'm so happy for him, and I got to be there to take pictures of the proposal! Now I just have to find time to edit them. Sigh...

Road trip back and Auditions!

Oh man, this morning was rough. It was so tough getting out of bed. And then I got back to my apartment and ALL I wanted was a nap. That didn't happen. I tried to fall asleep and then when it came time to get up I had to tell myself to get up for a good 15 minutes. Oh sleep. Why do you give me so much trouble?
Anyway, there is an advanced video productions class at my school. It's basically a class where students create 24 minute films. And tonight was a huge audition night for three of the production groups. I went to audition for all three, and I think I did pretty well for a cold read. Two I think I might at least get a call back, one I'm expecting that they will ask to use me as crew or something similar. Should be fun for me either way. Though I hope I get to act. I really enjoy it.

Not the best tonight, but I got a cool jacket on! I stole it from my sister to replace the green jacket I finally gave back. :)

Weekend at VTech

What an epic day. Not everything went my way, but it was still fun. My brunch was delicious, I got to meet several of my sister's friends... AND I MET UP WITH CAROLYNN! We went out to grab some Bubble Tea, and then have a photo shoot! We didn't have a lot of time, but it was fun. I'll be posting the pictures on my Flickr soon. Here's a sneak pre-view!

I want this dress so bad! I love vintage dresses like this, and it fit perfectly. They are expensive though. :(

Road trip

Wow what a day. I took a test, sat through a lecture, and took a very long road trip. But I finally made it to VTech and am loving it! My friend Grace and I got here too late for me to do a photo shoot with my sister like I had planned, but we should have time tomorrow. Hopefully... I've also got to do some last minute shopping due to some unforeseen circumstances. Good ones though! Anyway, I still have a ton of homework to do, but at least I got further on my mountain today, so I don't feel to bad about taking tonight off. That'll come Sunday...

Homework...

Gah homework is killing me. I shouldn't have even taken a picture today, that how bad it is right now. My problem is that I just don't want to do it. I have NO desire to finish the homework due in two of my classes, but it needs to get done, because it is stressing me out. I am looking forward to the weekend though, it should be really good and photo-filled. I've got two fashion shoots planned, and a couple of Valentine's Day ones. I'm super excited.

And thank you all so much for your encouragement throughout this project. I've really been learning a lot through this and it means so much to me to know that people are paying attention. My 300th yesterday was a HUGE milestone and I can't believe how far my photography has come. And it's only going to get better! :D

300 picture!!!

I made it to my 300th!!!!! Wow. What a crazy time it has been. I can't believe that there are only 65 more pictures to go. Hopefully I won't get stuck in a rut again and continue to grow in my photography. I really want to take the time to work on my portraiture style and to maybe focus on fashion photography till I'm done, because fashion photography does not quite pay the bills unless you are big time. But for my own personal project... :)

I'm so proud of myself for this one. I set up my own little studio and bought a backdrop and everything. Score! 

"That Girl"

My school has this really cool news show where it's "for students and by the students." A lot of my friends work to create the content and sometimes my schedule overlaps to where I am able to show up to help out and/or take behind the scenes pictures. My amazing friend Olivia is the talent on a new segment titled, "That Girl." Basically she shows up to all the social events and find out what it's about and how the student are doing and whatnot. She's great at playing the social butterfly and I can't wait to see where she takes this!

Anyway, she wears a bright pink wig when she's out and about and so... today I stole it for my picture. But then I included both Olivia and my friend Tati who is the Grad Assistant assigned to work for Option LU and they made the picture ten times better.
