Hurricane Irene and a sunny afternoon

I had the laziest weekend I have had in a very long time. I read and watched tv, all day long. It rained A LOT. And the wind howled, apparently waking up my dad. But at my house we were very fortunate since we never lost power or got flooded. Several people in my town were affected, but no one lost their lives to the storm. The news did report a man's death in a neighboring town due to a tree falling over into his house. Such a sad story. But I got home from church today and the sun came out and shone on till late. It was glorious! So I went out and had a mini photoshoot with a vintage dress I just bought.

You can't tell... but I'm standing in a marsh. :)

Bedtime

It's way past my bedtime. Seriously I need to work on getting to bed earlier. Thankfully it's fun Friday at work tomorrow and dress is casual! So I can sleep in a little bit more... :)

I wasn't going to post anything tonight, but then I realized just how long it's been. Suddenly I was overcome with the need to post! I'm also working on the details of another project to work through on this blog. It's not as photography related as my 365, but it's going to be grueling in the best way possible. And will involve lots of art, hopefully... Current plan is to reveal it by September 1st. I've got a lot to do before then! And a lot of it will be work related, which doubly makes me happy.

Anyway, here is one of my favorite images I captured from a wedding last weekend. I worked for Devin Olson Media, who is one of my closest friends and a very talented person. Check out his website if you have any video needs.

Update.

So I love my job. End of story. It's amazing and I need to get better at it asap, as there is a ton to learn. But, it is also insanely mentally draining, and that is why I have not been posting much. I hope to get back into blogging here, but right now I'm thinking I might just turn off the light and sleep till six am, when I have to be up.

To make up for being so lazy, here is a picture of my cousin's dog Storm, playing at the beach.

SANDY DOG!
Yes, I went and escaped the online callings to go to the beach over the weekend. Mmmmm beach. :)
