Quick post!

Ok, so I am about to head out to see Inception and that means that I basically have five minutes to post a picture before my friend comes and picks me up. I would have done it earlier, but I was working for my school's marching band at the football game for the vast majority of the day. That's where I ended up taking the picture... It was easy...

I took this with my "co-worker" Mason. We are photography buddies! He certainly keeps life interesting and he is one of the few who can get away with calling me Bethany (which is NOT my name!)
(See? Proof!)

G2g!!! Can't wait to see this movie!!!!!

Brrr!

I worked outside tonight and my toes nearly got frozen off! I had a babysitting job earlier on today, for a woman that I met my sophomore year when I took an educational tour of Israel. *Tip, if you ever go to Egypt, or another Middle Eastern country and you have visited Israel, keep it on the down low.
Anyway, I thought I would have had time in between babysitting and work to go grab real shoes... but I didn't. So my hands and feet were freezing for about two hours while I walked around outside and wrote notes. But, this led to my picture today!

All the ingredients needed to warm me right up! Milk, hot chocolate mix, dark chocolate to add in and some candy corn! Plus some photoshop fun and I call it a night.

Took some time and went through a ton of photos today. Here are my top pictures of my Holly Baby!

We got two dogs from the same litter when I was ten. Angel is the white and black dog, and she is my sister's. What's funny is that our dogs really do (did) reflect our personalities. But Holly and Angel have NEVER been separated other than one day when Holly got lost, and then three days when Angel got lost in the snow (She had been picked up and we knew the next day, but because of the snow we had to wait... I think). I have no idea on how Angel is taking being the only dog. The poor thing.

If there is one word I had to describe Holly as, is HAPPY. She was always a happy dog and no matter what kind of mood I was in she was ecstatic to see me. ...And then she'd wander off and pretend not to hear when I called. She definitely had her own personality.

I have the best roommates!

It's true. My relationships with my roommates in the past have on the whole been pretty positive, but I am just so blessed to be sharing an apartment with these girls.
First though, my picture of the day!
Picture # 208
Yay for experimenting in photoshop! Not the best job, but hey I'm just learning and I did this in less than 20 minutes.

This is my roommate Amy. You know a girl is cool when she walks through the door to her roommate on the floor setting up a shot, and then willing to be IN the shot! We had some laughs.

Now onto my beautiful roommate Lauren. She seriously is the best person on the planet right now. She is driven, God-focused, and the nicest girl you could ever meet. Sorry boys, you missed out, she is already taken.
Unfortunately for them it is currently a long distance relationship since he goes to another school. But luckily for me, she wants to work on her cooking skills, and I am the taste tester. Oh yes, she feeds me. :)

She made HOMEMADE pizza the other day, just to try it out! And it was amazing.

But more than this, she really is a true friend. I really do think the best of her and sometimes can't even comprehend that she actually likes me back. She pretty much is the person I most want to be like when I grow up. The ironic thing is I'm a year older...

Posting puppy pictures tomorrow.

The day my dog died.

Depressing, I know. But I want to document that it happened on this day. My parents think she passed away early this morning, around 1:30. I just found out over the phone around eight. All I'm going to say is thank God for walk in closets. And that it breaks my heart that I wasn't there. I don't even have any pictures of her on this computer. I know I have a few on my old one, so maybe I'll work on getting a few posted up in her memory tomorrow.

I'm posting two pictures tonight, because they both speak to me in different ways.
Picture # 207
I can't fully understand why I like this picture so much, but I do. It's completely out of fucus, but you know what the subject is. I guess you can also put some symbolism into it, since I've been losing a lot of my focus this past month, but hopefully some things will start clearing up soon. Mostly it's all just been in my head. All this junk I keep hanging on to is probably why I've been having trouble sleeping at night.
Picture 207 b
BAM, headshot. Maybe not the most creative thing I could do, but I feel like I picked a direction and am growing. Hopefully I'll get to move past my frivolous matters of the heart soon and take charge of my life like I feel like I'm portraying in my picture.

P.s., Here is a link to a picture of my dog and I way back in January. I can't believe I didn't take more with her now. I always had mean to...

Election Day 2!

That's right, I voted. I fight the statistic that says my age group is apathetic and to lazy to get out and vote. Since turning eligible, I don't believe that I have missed an election yet. If I have it totally was by accident...

I also went to a photojournalism seminar tonight where the guy did a really good job explaining his favorite pictures and how he does his job. At the end he had a presentation of a special project he did completely out of love for his two year old son who had passed away last year. I am not going to lie, I teared up like crazy. Rarely do I cry, but when I do...something really speaks to me. Plus, with several members of my family going through some really tough health issues (two in the hospital now, two just got out but still not doing great, and who knows what else), my insomnia that keeps popping up and making my emotional health go up and down, his story just hit my heart like none other. You can read a bit about what he shared about his son here. And after he finished speaking a few of my friends and I went up and got to ask some in depth questions. And of course I got my picture taken with him!
Ironically, we are both slightly out of focus, but it's ok because this awesome picture was taken by my friend Mike, who only has a point and shoot and is really just starting out. Speaking of Mike... I also have a self portrait with him from today as well!
Picture # 206 b, aka; "Old Man Mike"
Mike is a theatre major, and he is taking a "Make-up and Costume" class. How cool is that?! Today he had to be an old person, and then he proceeded to walk around campus like this for about an hour.

Ok, so I know this post is getting ridiculously long, but Kelly requested that I show a close up picture of my crazy hair from yesterday. Here is one from when I first teased up my hair;

And here is the very last shot I took, where my hair was just driving me crazy so I threw it into a side ponytail.

Creative Field Pic!

Definitely working to get back into the groove of doing different stuff for my 365. I had fun with this one, where I did everything; the styling, hair, and makeup! And I went to a different than normal location today. ...Aka the ravine behind my apartment complex. But I had only been down there at night, and from seeing it during the day now I can't believe I hadn't gone there sooner!

Picture # 205

Totally cut off my arms, but I love it. It's a different sort of picture, and I think it's eye-catching and makes you wonder a bit.

And I'm posting a completely un-edited pic just so you can see how crazy hard it was to get a crisp shot. I went into to school today and by the time I came back it was already starting to get dark. Sad day.

Plus, I just love how my hair turned out in this one! I had teased it and teased it, but it was already semi-flat by the time I started taking shots. Next time I'll use some hair spray.

Missed the Midnight deadline

Wahhhh!!!! I was doing so good too. Oh well, so much was going on right before midnight that there was no way to keep up with it all. And I got to schedule my classes right on the dot at 12:00. Of course, I wasn't able to get into two classes, so this will be interesting to see how I manage to get into them. But I'm not worried. It's my last semester, everything should be able to work itself out.

Anyhoo, instead of getting dressed up and going out, one of my good friends made a fire so we roasted marshmellows. And then I watched New Moon with some more friends at my apartment. It was a fun, relaxing evening. Except for trying to get my homework and classes done. That was stressful.

I love me some FIRE!!!!

And some of my favorite girls stopped by for a bit to say hi. I'm sure you guys recognize Joy and Grace. They pretty much make my life.
